May I ask why you are trying to bypass the web filter? Have you checked with your admin to allow/provide you with the access you need? How To Bypass Fortinet Firewall
In our lab one administrator resigned and had gone with password of Fortigate-60 firewall. When we tried to use this firewall for changing new rules of blocking internet traffic, it was asking old password. I read all material of the vendor but did not get success. On the Internet also we did not get proper help.Only I understood that login: should be maintainer. But there was problem of the password. I heard that we have to type serial number of the Fortigate-60 box. When I entered serial number of firewall box, it was not working and then I dig out and I got success. Following are the steps:
1)Connect power supply to fortigate-60 firewall and attached to serial port of the computer.
Buy Fortinet Firewalls
2)Configure Hyper terminal (proper baud rate and com port, check manual of your fortigate firewall for that)3)get login: prompt in the Hyperterminal.
4)type Login: maintainer
5)Type password as bcpbFGT-602906523904
6)Here 2906523904 is the serial number of my Fortigate -60 firewall. You change it according to your Firewall's serial number.
7)Mind it!!!! There should not be space between 60 and 2906523904 serial number
8)You will get prompt admin> now
